8527 (2026). Hon Phil Twyford to the Minister of Defence: Is the Government considering any increase in New Zealand Defence Force deployments, capabilities, or operational contributions in response to requests from allies relating to the conflict involving Iran?

Hon Judith Collins: Regarding New Zealand Defence (NZDF) deployments, the Government is not considering any increase in these deployments, capabilities or operational contributions. If New Zealand received a request for support, any NZDF military operation in response would be a matter for the Cabinet to determine based on careful consideration of New Zealand interests.
