Hon Rachel Brooking to the Minister responsible for RMA Reform: Did any of the individuals appointed to the advisory group for the fast-track approvals process declare any conflicts of interest, and if so, what was the nature of these conflicts of interest, and how will they be mitigated?

Hon Chris Bishop: The advisory group nominees declared any real or perceived conflicts during nominations, and a process has been set up to manage conflicts that arise during consideration of projects. The nature of the conflicts were identified in the cabinet paper appointing the advisory group. The Group’s terms of reference sets out the process to manage conflicts of interest.
