8489 (2026). Kahurangi Carter to the Minister of Police: How many aerial cannabis operations have been undertaken during this term of Government, and how many plants, if any, were destroyed for each operation?

Hon Mark Mitchell: I am advised that there have been three operations conducted during this term of Government, occurring in 2023/2024, 2024/2025 and 2025/2026 financial years. A total of 23,586 plants were destroyed in the 2023/2024 operations and 17,536 plants were destroyed during the 2024/2025 operations. The 2025/2026 operations are not yet complete.
