8463 (2025). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister for Rural Communities: How many staff, broken down by date of commencement and portfolio, in the Minister's office, if any, have been seconded from government departments, agencies or ministries since the Minister took office?

Hon Mark Patterson: Since receiving my portfolio responsibilities, I have had 4 staff seconded from the Ministry for Primary Industries to my office for the Rural Communities and Associate Agriculture portfolios. Seconded staff are employed by the respective government agency – staff movements aren’t uncommon. There are a range of reasons why a secondee may leave an office early.
