8455 (2024). Kahurangi Carter to the Minister for Children: Has the Minister sought any advice from officials on the long-term impacts on Māori of removing Section 7AA?

Hon Karen Chhour: Officials at Oranga Tamariki have produced a Regulatory Impact Statement (RIS) in line with Cabinet requirements that provides some analysis regarding possible long-term impacts of the repeal of section 7AA on Māori. The RIS will be released on both the Oranga Tamariki and Treasury websites.
