8451 (2024). Kahurangi Carter to the Minister for Children: Could the Minister provide examples of how Oranga Tamariki will continue to collaborate with iwi, hapū, whānau, and Māori organizations to improve outcomes for Māori children if the requirement for strategic partnerships is removed?

Hon Karen Chhour: I have committed to retaining strategic partnership agreements with iwi, hapū and Māori organisations. I have met with a number of strategic partners, Māori organisations, and iwi service providers and I intend to meet with the remaining strategic partners. I have indicated my wish for submissions to be made at the Select Committee stage of the passage of the Bill.
