8440 (2024). Arena Williams to the Minister for State Owned Enterprises: Further to WPQ 124 (2024), following the Government’s decision regarding the Inter-Island Resilient Connection project as announced by the Minister of Finance on 11 December 2023, can the cost to taxpayers, if any, for residual contractual obligations between KiwiRail and domestic contractors now be quantified?

Hon Paul Goldsmith: While KiwiRail is still finalising its residual contractual obligations for domestic contractors, an estimate of the costs to settle was provided in its half year results.
