8439 (2026). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: What proportion and dollar value of the $162 million by which Health New Zealand's outsourced personnel costs exceeded budget in 2024/25 related to clinical workforce, and how much related to non-clinical or administrative roles?

Hon Simeon Brown: I am advised that 54 percent of the outsourced personnel costs which exceeded budget in 2024/25 related to clinical workforce, including medical, nursing and allied health staff. I am further advised that 46 percent related to non-clinical workforce such as support staff, management and administration.
