8433 (2026). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: Does Health New Zealand track the proportion of clinical rosters filled by permanent versus contingent/locum staff at a regional or facility level; if so, what were the figures for the past three financial years?

Hon Simeon Brown: I am advised that Health New Zealand does not compile the hours worked by outsourced staff in a central data set, therefore this cannot be compared to hours worked by internally staff.
