8430 (2026). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: How many full-time equivalent (FTE) locum or contingent clinical staff did Health New Zealand engage in 2024/25, 2022/23 and 2023/24?

Hon Simeon Brown: I am advised that Health New Zealand estimates the FTE equivalent of outsourced staff based on a rate card approach. The calculated totals are as follows: 2022/23 - 781 FTE 2023/24 - 997 FTE 2024/25 - 902 FTE
