8409 (2024). Lan Pham to the Minister for the Environment: Will a “rigorous cost benefit analysis” of changes to the National Policy Statement for Freshwater Management be undertaken?

Hon Penny Simmonds: The Government has committed to replace the National Policy Statement for Freshwater Management, including a full and robust consultation process. Cabinet decisions will be supported by regulatory impact analysis, supplementary analysis, or post-implementation assessment/review as the case may be, which will be made available in due course.
