8383 (2024). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister for Workplace Relations and Safety: Is it the Minister’s expectation that they review and/or approve cost-saving plans relating to their departments, ministries and agencies, prior to Cabinet considering the full budget package?

Hon Brooke van Velden: It is my expectation to be updated about significant implications within my portfolio responsibility as Minister for Workplace Relations and Safety. However, agencies’ cost-savings plans are the responsibility of Chief Executives and are subject to Budget decisions which remain confidential.
