8377 (2025). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister of Defence: How many staff, broken down by date of commencement and portfolio, in the Minister's office, if any, have been seconded from government departments, agencies or ministries since the Minister took office?

Hon Judith Collins: One Regular Force military officer is seconded to the Office of the Minister of Defence. Military personnel are usually seconded for one- or two-year periods. Two members of staff from the Ministry of Defence were seconded to the Minister of Defence’s Office. One commenced their secondment on 15 January 2024 and the other on 13 May 2024, both seconded staff are still in the Ministers’ Office.
