Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Internal Affairs: What types of evidence, if any, has been gathered for the second phase of the Royal Commission of Inquiry into COVID-19 Lessons Learned, and how many items of each type of evidence have been gathered thus far, as at 27 February 2025?

Hon Brooke van Velden: The work of the Royal Commission of Inquiry into COVID-19 Lessons Learned is independent of the Government. As the Minister of Internal Affairs, I am not informed about the specific details of the evidence gathered by the Inquiry to date. These are matters that fall within the Inquiry’s statutory independence.
