8357 (2025). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Internal Affairs: How many staff were employed by the Royal Commission of Inquiry into COVID-19 Lessons Learned, as at 1 August 2024, listed by duration of service and role title?

Hon Brooke van Velden: I am advised by the Department of Internal Affairs (the Department) that 24 staff were employed by the Department in the Royal Commission of Inquiry into COVID-19 Lessons Learned, on 1 August 2024. Of these staff, 13 were new hires with less than one years’ service, and 11 had between one- and two-years’ service with the Royal Commission. I refer the member to Appendix A which shows the job titles.
