8311 (2024). Hon Ginny Andersen to the Minister of Police: What is the Gunsafe data as of March 2024, broken down by the number of firearms seized, recovered or surrendered; firearms presented at police in the course of their work and firearms discharged at police?

Hon Mark Mitchell: I am advised that there were 150 firearms reported in Gun Safe in March 2024 as recovered, seized, or surrendered (excluding any buyback/amnesty). Specifically, four were recovered, 145 seized, and one surrendered. One event reported in Gun Safe in March 2024 involved at least one firearm presentation at police. There were no firearm discharges reported in Gun Safe in March 2024. This information is provided from a live operational database.
