Francisco Hernandez to the Minister for the Public Service: What policy changes, if any, have occurred in the Minister’s departments, agencies, crown entities and any other bodies that the Minister is responsible for, if any, following the Cabinet directive on 13 September 2024 that 'public services should be prioritised on the basis of need, not race'?

Hon Judith Collins: I am not aware of any policy changes in the Public Service Commission in relation to the Circular. I note that the purpose of the Circular is simply to ensure agencies provide a strong analytical case and clear advice on how proposals for services targeted to specific population groups are aligned with need.
