Francisco Hernandez to the Minister for Tourism and Hospitality: What policy changes, if any, have occurred in the Minister’s departments, agencies, crown entities and any other bodies that the Minister is responsible for, if any, following the Cabinet directive on 13 September 2024 that 'public services should be prioritised on the basis of need, not race'?

Hon Louise Upston: As Minister for Tourism and Hospitality, I have no responsibility for any government departments or Ministries. With regard to Crown entities under the Tourism & Hospitality portfolio, I am advised that Tourism New Zealand has not made any policy changes as a result of this directive; however, as a public service agency it notes and gives due regard to Cabinet directives when carrying out its functions.
