Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Internal Affairs: What briefings or advice, if any, has the Minister received on the fiscal implications of any redundancies, if any, in each of the Minister’s departments, ministries and agencies, resulting from the Government’s directive to reduce expenditure in the public service, listed by title and date?

Hon Brooke van Velden: None. I am advised that these decisions are the responsibility of the relevant Chief Executive. Furthermore, I am advised that these decisions are still to be finalised and are subject to staff consultation. This advice will remain confidential until Budget 2024 is announced on 30 May 2024
