8215 (2025). Teanau Tuiono to the Minister for Workplace Relations and Safety: Further to WPQ 81963 Were any issues identified with the 2014 legislation and if so what?

Hon Brooke van Velden: I made two changes from the 2014 legislation, which were: • Changes to the notice requirements for the recovery of overpayments in the Wages Protection Act 1983, when the overpayment is in relation to a specified pay deduction – to align with comparable notice requirements; and • Changes to the Education and Training Act 2020 to clarify the powers of the Public Service Commissioner in relation to specified pay deductions in response to partial strikes.
