Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Acting Minister for Women: In the Minister’s departments, ministries and agencies for which savings have been identified, are any roles set to be disestablished resulting from the Government’s directive to reduce expenditure in the public service, if so, what percentage of employees who are set to lose their roles are Women, if any?

Hon Louise Upston: The Ministry for Women is committed to creating ongoing efficiencies and is going through a process to look at options, which includes not reappointing some vacant roles, as well as working with staff to identify areas where additional savings could be made. Decisions will be finalised during the 2024 Budget process.
