Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Internal Affairs: What criteria, was employed by the Minister’s departments, ministries and agencies to assess the volume of redundancies in each department, if any, resulting from the Government's directive to reduce expenditure in the public service?

Hon Brooke van Velden: I am advised that decisions on organisational change proposals are still to be finalised and are subject to staff consultation. As a result, the number of potential redundancies for the Department of Internal Affairs, if any, is not yet known.
