8208 (2026). Francisco Hernandez to the Prime Minister: What exemptions from the expectations set out in the Needs-based Service Provision Cabinet office circular of 13 September 2024, if any, have been requested in the Minister’s departments, agencies, crown entities and any other bodies that the Minister is responsible for, if any?

Rt Hon Christopher Luxon: In my capacity as the Prime Minister, I am the responsible minister for the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet (DPMC). I am advised that no exceptions to the requirements set out in the Needs-based Service Provision Cabinet Office Circular dated13 September 2024 have been requested by DPMC. DPMC adheres to all guidance set out in Cabinet Office Circulars including the Needs-based Service Provision Cabinet Office Circular. In addition, when procuring goods and services DPMC is guided by the Government Procurement Rules. I also refer the member to my response to Written Parliamentary Question 562 (2025).
