8162 (2026). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister of Police: What exemptions from the expectations set out in the Needs-based Service Provision Cabinet office circular of 13 September 2024, if any, have been requested in the Minister’s departments, agencies, crown entities and any other bodies that the Minister is responsible for, if any?

Hon Mark Mitchell: I am advised by Police that they are not aware of any exemptions being requested, nor any policy changes being made following the Cabinet directive on 13 September 2024 that 'public services should be prioritised on the basis of need, not race’. The Serious Fraud Office does not provide services that require a needs-based assessment and has not been asked for, or provided, any advice to the Minister on this subject, including on exemptions. This is also my response to Written Parliamentary Questions 8164 and 8166 (2026).
