8152 (2025). Hon Barbara Edmonds to the Associate Minister of Finance: What measures, if any, will be taken as part of the Overseas Investment Act Reform to ensure that this policy does not exacerbate existing inequalities or lead to a concentration of wealth among a few foreign investors?

Hon David Seymour: The Treasury has ongoing stewardship responsibilities for the overseas investment regime. In this capacity, it will work closely with the regulator, Land Information New Zealand, to identify issues with the new regime, changes in the risk environment, and potential responses.
