8150 (2025). Hon Barbara Edmonds to the Associate Minister of Finance: Can the minister detail the reporting and accountability frameworks, if any, that will be used to evaluate the performance and compliance of foreign investors as part of the Overseas Investment Act Reform?

Hon David Seymour: The regulator under the Overseas Investment Act 2005, Land Information New Zealand, monitors and/or collects data on consent applications, notifications under the National Security and Public Order regime, compliance with conditions of consent, and non-compliance with the Act generally.
