8127 (2026). Hon Kieran McAnulty to the Minister of Transport: Did he discuss the Melling Interchange project with NZTA officials at his 11:30am meeting with them on 11 March 2025 and if so, what discussions, if any, did he have possible delays with the project?

Hon Chris Bishop: From checking the meeting records, the agenda did not include the Melling Interchange project. Noting, NZTA's Q2 Performance Report was an agenda item. The report includes an update on all NZTA capital projects, which includes the Melling Interchange project. There are no records to show whether the Melling Interchange was specifically discussed.
