Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Statistics: How many staff made redundant at ministries, agencies and/or departments for which the Minister is responsible since 27 November 2023 were reappointed either directly (i.e., without a competitive process) or after reapplying through a competitive recruitment process?

Hon Dr Shane Reti: I am advised that, after reapplying through a competitive recruitment process, one Stats NZ staff who accepted voluntary redundancy since 27 November was re-appointed on a four month fixed-term contract.
