Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Statistics: Have any of the ministries, agencies, and/or departments for which the Minister is responsible made ex gratia or other additional redundancy payments since 27 November 2023; if so, how many such payments were made, and what was their total value?

Hon Dr Shane Reti: I am advised that Stats NZ has not made ex-gratia payments or other additional redundancy payments since 27 November 2023. Stats NZ calculates redundancy payment using the sum of Severance Entitlements and Cessation Leave.
