Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister for Māori Crown Relations: Te Arawhiti: What accrued savings, if any, has the minister’s departments, ministries and agencies (if applicable within their portfolio) realised resulting from the Government’s directive to reduce expenditure in the public service?

Hon Tama Potaka: It is my expectation to be updated about significant implications with my portfolio responsibility as Minister. However, agencies’ cost-savings plans are the responsibility of the chief executive and are subject to Budget decisions which remain confidential until final decisions are approved by Cabinet.
