8101 (2025). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: Have any of the ministries, agencies, and/or departments for which the Minister is responsible made ex gratia or other additional redundancy payments since 27 November 2023; if so, how many such payments were made, and what was their total value?

Hon Simeon Brown: Our Government is focused on delivering timely, quality healthcare for all New Zealanders. I am advised that fewer than five ex gratia payments were made at Health New Zealand. It would not be in the public interest to disclose the total value of payments, as this would infringe on the privacy of those individuals.
