8100 (2025). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister for Tourism and Hospitality: How many staff at ministries, agencies and/or departments for which the Minister is responsible have been made redundant, broken down by (a) voluntary redundancy, and (b) all other forms of redundancy, and of those staff, how many have subsequently been appointed to a new role at at the same ministry, agency or department, if any, since 27 November 2023?

Hon Louise Upston: As Minister for Tourism and Hospitality, I have no responsibility for any government departments or ministries. With regard to Crown entities under the Tourism and Hospitality portfolio, I am advised that 15 Tourism New Zealand staff have been made redundant since 27 November 2023. None of those staff have been reappointed. No voluntary redundancy was offered.
