Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister for Workplace Relations and Safety: How many staff made redundant at ministries, agencies and/or departments for which the Minister is responsible since 27 November 2023 were reappointed either directly (i.e., without a competitive process) or after reapplying through a competitive recruitment process?

Hon Brooke van Velden: I am advised that WorkSafe New Zealand has had two reorganisation processes since November 2023. As part of the 23/24 reorganisation, 67 employees were reappointed. Our 2024/25 reorganisation reappointment process is still under way so we are unable to provide this information regarding reappointments for our current process.
