Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister for Treaty of Waitangi Negotiations: How many staff at ministries, agencies and/or departments for which the Minister is responsible have been made redundant, broken down by (a) voluntary redundancy, and (b) all other forms of redundancy, and of those staff, how many have subsequently been appointed to a new role at the same ministry, agency or department from which they were made redundant, if any, since 27 November 2023?

Hon Paul Goldsmith: I am advised a total of 8 Te Arawhiti employees were made redundant. None of these were voluntary. None of the staff who received redundancy for the requested period were rehired.
