Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister for Pacific Peoples: How many staff at ministries, agencies and/or departments for which the Minister is responsible have been made redundant, broken down by (a) voluntary redundancy, and (b) all other forms of redundancy, and of those staff, how many have subsequently been appointed to a new role at at the same ministry, agency or department, if any, since 27 November 2023?

Hon Dr Shane Reti: I am advised by the Ministry for Pacific Peoples that since 27 November 2023, it has not reappointed any staff that were made redundant from its last organisational change process that took effect from 1 July 2024. Staff redundancies broken down by (a) voluntary redundancy, and (b) all other forms of redundancy since 27 November 2023 are as follows: (c) Voluntary Redundancy was 8 staff. (d) All other forms of Redundancy was 30 staff.
