8045 (2025). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister for Pacific Peoples: How many staff made redundant at ministries, agencies and/or departments for which the Minister is responsible since 27 November 2023 were reappointed either directly (i.e., without a competitive process) or after reapplying through a competitive recruitment process?

Hon Dr Shane Reti: I am advised by the Ministry for Pacific Peoples (the Ministry) that following its last organisational change process which took effect from 1 July 2024, no staff who were made redundant were reappointed to the Ministry.
