Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister for Pacific Peoples: What was the total amount paid in redundancy costs in the ministries, agencies and/or departments for which the Minister is responsible since 27 November 2023, broken down by (a) voluntary redundancies and (b) other redundancies, and what was the average payout for each category?

Hon Dr Shane Reti: I am advised by the Ministry for Pacific Peoples that the total redundancy paid since 27 November 2023 was $998k.The following questions (a) and (b) are answered below as follows. (a) Voluntary redundancies were $172k (Average was $21k). (b) Other redundancies were $825k (Average was $27k).
