Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Internal Affairs: How many staff at ministries, agencies and/or departments for which the Minister is responsible have been made redundant, broken down by (a) voluntary redundancy, and (b) all other forms of redundancy, and of those staff, how many have subsequently been appointed to a new role at at the same ministry, agency or department, if any, since 27 November 2023?

Hon Brooke van Velden: I am advised by the Department of Internal Affairs that 51 staff have been made redundant since 27 November 2023. None of these former staff have subsequently been appointed to a new job at the Department. There have been no voluntary redundancies.
