8009 (2024). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Agriculture: What accrued savings, if any, has the minister’s departments, ministries and agencies (if applicable within their portfolio) realised resulting from the Government’s directive to reduce expenditure in the public service?

Hon Todd McClay: As part of the Budget 2024/25 programme, MPI has been asked by the Government to find savings of 7.5 percent per annum from the financial year starting 1 July 2024. Decisions on these savings will be taken as part of Budget 2024.
