8000 (2025). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Finance: How many staff at ministries, agencies and/or departments for which the Minister is responsible have been made redundant, broken down by (a) voluntary redundancy, and (b) all other forms of redundancy, and of those staff, how many have subsequently been appointed to a new role at at the same ministry, agency or department, if any, since 27 November 2023?

Hon Nicola Willis: Since 27 November 2023, the Treasury made 5 permanent employees redundant. None of these were voluntary redundancies. None of those people have been subsequently appointed to a new role at the Treasury. Two staff have been made redundant from the Reserve Bank of New Zealand since 27 November 2023. Both redundancies fall into category (b). None of these staff have been appointed to a new role at RBNZ.
