7996 (2025). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Foreign Affairs: How many staff made redundant at ministries, agencies and/or departments for which the Minister is responsible since 27 November 2023 were reappointed either directly (i.e., without a competitive process) or after reapplying through a competitive recruitment process?

Rt Hon Winston Peters: No staff made redundant since 27 November 2023 were reappointed to roles in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade. I am advised that since this time at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, 18 staff members have been reassigned or appointed to a new role within the Ministry.
