Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister for the Environment: How many staff at ministries, agencies and/or departments for which the Minister is responsible have been made redundant, broken down by (a) voluntary redundancy, and (b) all other forms of redundancy, and of those staff, how many have subsequently been appointed to a new role at at the same ministry, agency or department, if any, since 27 November 2023?

Hon Penny Simmonds: The Environmental Protection Authority (EPA) has made 13 people redundant since 27 November 2023. There were no voluntary redundancies. The EPA has not reemployed any staff who received a redundancy payment. The Ministry for the Environment has not reemployed any staff who received a redundancy payment.
