7978 (2025). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Education: Have any of the ministries, agencies, and/or departments for which the Minister is responsible made ex gratia or other additional redundancy payments since 27 November 2023; if so, how many such payments were made, and what was their total value?

Hon Erica Stanford: I am advised by the Ministry of Education (the Ministry), that since 27 November 2023, the Ministry has made four additional redundancy payments to a total value of $57,914.23. The New Zealand Qualifications Authority have made five additional redundancy payments totalling $60,672.33 since 27 November 2023. The Education Review Office and Education New Zealand have not made any ex-gratia or additional redundancy payments since 27 November 2023.
