7972 (2026). Dr Lawrence Xu-Nan to the Minister of Education: On what date(s) did the discussion during the development of the Single-Stage Business Case for the Student Monitoring, Assessment and Reporting Tool (SMART) between the Ministry of Education and the Government Chief Digital Officer take place?

Hon Erica Stanford: I am advised that the Ministry of Education (the Ministry) communicated with the Office of the Government Chief Digital Officer (GCDO) on 1 November 2024, during the development of the Single-Stage Business Case for the Student Monitoring, Assessment and Reporting Tool (SMART). On 8 November 2024, the Office of the GCDO provided written confirmation that the Ministry should proceed with this work without direct involvement from the GCDO.
