Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister for Māori Crown Relations: Te Arawhiti: Has the minister reviewed and/or approved cost saving plans relating to their departments, ministries and agencies (where applicable within their portfolio), if any, and if so, what relevant advice have they received, listed by title and date?

Hon Tama Potaka: It is my expectation to be updated about significant implications with my portfolio responsibility as Minister. However, agencies’ cost-savings plans are the responsibility of the chief executive and are subject to Budget decisions which remain confidential until final decisions are approved by Cabinet.
