7926 (2024). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: Has the minister reviewed and/or approved cost saving plans relating to their departments, ministries and agencies (where applicable within their portfolio), if any, and if so, what relevant advice have they received, listed by title and date?

Hon Dr Shane Reti: I have received advice from the Ministry of Health however, these decisions will be finalised after final Cabinet decisions on Budget 2024, which has not yet occurred. I am advised that these decisions are the responsibility of the relevant Chief Executive. Furthermore, I am advised that these decisions are still to be finalised and are subject to staff consultation.
