Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Statistics: How many staff currently employed in the ministries, agencies, and/or departments for which the Minister is responsible have previously received a redundancy payout since 27 November 2023, and how many of these staff are employed in the same or similar roles to their previous roles?

Hon Dr Shane Reti: I am advised that, since 27 November 2023, Stats NZ has re-appointed one individual who accepted voluntary redundancy. The individual has been re-appointed a similar role, on a four month, fixed-term contract.
