7918 (2025). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister for Sport and Recreation: Have any of the ministries, agencies, and/or departments for which the Minister is responsible set budgetary provisions or caps for redundancy payments since 27 November 2023; if so, what were those provisions?

Hon Mark Mitchell: A budget reduction target was set for the Sport NZ Group in the last financial year. At that time, roles were identified for disestablishment, and redundancy provisions put in place for impacted roles. No redundancy provisions or caps are in place for the current financial year.
