Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Statistics: How much time elapsed on average between a staff member’s redundancy date and their start date in a new role for those made redundant in the ministries, agencies, and/or departments for which the Minister is responsible who were subsequently reappointed since 27 November 2023?

Hon Dr Shane Reti: I am advised that the elapsed time between a staff member’s redundancy and start date in a new role at Stats NZ since 27 November 2023 was nine months.
