Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister for the Public Service: How many staff in the ministries, agencies, and/or departments for which the Minister is responsible have, since 27 November 2023, been made redundant and subsequently been rehired as a consultant or contractor, and what was the total cost of engaging those consultants or contractors?

Hon Judith Collins: I am advised that no staff in the Public Service Commission have, since November 2023, been made redundant and subsequently rehired as a consultant or contractor. The Commission does not hold information for employees who were made redundant from the Commission and have been rehired as a consultant or contractor with other agencies.
